VO2 Max Testing
Know the size of your aerobic engine.
Professional physiology testing for amateur athletes. Measure your maximal aerobic capacity — the ceiling on your endurance performance.

The test
What is VO2 Max — and why does it matter?
Your VO2 Max is your maximum rate of oxygen consumption. It tells you how efficiently you take in oxygen via your lungs.
Cycling is predominantly aerobic. The bigger your VO2 Max, the bigger your “aerobic engine” — and the more power you can put out sustainably. Lower VO2 Max means you tip into anaerobic work sooner, fatigue faster, and produce by-products more rapidly.

The bigger picture
VO₂ Max is only part of the story
VO₂ Max tells us the size of your aerobic engine. But a big engine doesn’t automatically mean you can ride faster for longer.
Combine it with a Lactate Threshold Test and we can see how much of that engine you can actually sustain — giving you a much clearer picture of your cycling performance.
- 01
VO₂ Max
How big is your engine? Measures your maximum aerobic capacity.
- 02
Lactate threshold
How much can you actually use? Shows the intensity you can sustain before fatigue rises rapidly.
- 03
Combine both
See the complete picture. Understand both your potential and your sustainable performance — and what you should train to improve.

Who it’s for
Built for amateur athletes
Most recreational athletes think “I’m not good enough for performance testing”. That couldn’t be further from the truth.
Every hour of your training time is precious. Pros can ride 30+ hours a week — you train around work and family. Our testing targets that available time to your physiology, and our physiologist helps you turn the numbers into sessions you can actually do.
