Cookie policy

What cookies we use and how you can control them.

Last updated: 9 October 2026

Cookies are small files saved by your browser. Some sites also use similar technology such as your browser’s local storage. This page covers both, and we call them “cookies” below.

Essential cookies

Required for the site to work. These do not need consent.

  • Basket (cart_id, cart_qty) — remembers what is in your basket and the item count. Lasts up to 30 days.
  • Account sign-in — keeps you signed in to your account securely. Lasts up to 30 days, or until you sign out.
  • Preview access (remote_fit_preview) — only set if you enter an access PIN for a preview page. Lasts 90 days.
  • Cookie choice (ukbf_cookie_consent, local storage) — remembers whether you accepted analytics.
  • Checkout — Shopify sets its own cookies when you go to checkout to process your order securely. See Shopify’s cookie policy.

Analytics (only with your consent)

These are off until you choose “Accept all”. If you pick “Essential only”, none of them load.

  • Dotwall Monitor — visitor analytics run by our web partner Dotwall (monitor.dotwall.co.uk). It stores a random visitor ID in local storage (reset daily) and a session ID that ends when you close the tab or after 30 minutes of inactivity. It records pages viewed, how you arrived (for example a search engine or link) and how far you scroll. It does not use cookies and we do not use it to identify you.
  • Google Analytics — may be used to understand traffic and improve the site, with IP addresses anonymised. Cookies start with _ga and last up to 2 years.

Embedded content

Some pages include content from other sites. YouTube videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, which does not set cookies until you play a video. Our booking calendar (Acuity Scheduling) may set its own cookies when you use it to book.
